Can Acupuncture help with COVID-19?
Acupuncture is helping with post COVID & Vaccination symptoms
Safety First
At acupuncture Clermont safety comes first and we do not treat any person that has an active COVID 19 infection, in addition we take many precautions to ensure your safety whilst having treatment with us.
But if you are clear of infectious stage (we require 2 weeks) and are still suffering from the many symptoms or have had a vaccination side effects acupuncture can help significantly*.
Post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection (PASC), also known as Long COVID, can affect all ages and they do not always apear immediatly after the infection and may occur with people who had only mild symptoms during the infection.
Acupuncture has had a long history in helping the flu and common cold with research confirming acupuncture to have significantly positive effects (1,2) to regulate the immune system.
Research published in an article from the Health Care Medical institute on the H1N1 virus stated "Acupuncture is effective for the treatment of influenza. Two independent investigations confirm acupuncture’s efficacy for fighting influenza. One laboratory investigation tested acupuncture as a monotherapy and determined that acupuncture lowers mortality rates, increases serum interferon levels, and improves the phagocytosis of viruses.
Another investigation finds acupuncture effective for enhancing the clinical efficaciousness of anti-viral drugs". (3)
